Review ~ 42 Hours by Bethany Lopez

Eight years ago, Scott and Gaby shared one very special night. Not wanting to ruin their friendship, they didn't take things further...but neither of them has forgotten.

When Scott’s friends stage an intervention to make him realize that his fiancĂ©, Victoria, is all wrong for him, he takes time to evaluate his life. He’s earned a big promotion and just bought his dream car, but those things are just superficial. The one time he was truly happy, was with Gaby.

Gaby is in a good place in her life. She loves her job, has the best friends and family a girl could ask for, and is dating a sweet and sexy guy, but she’s never stopped thinking about that night with Scott.

Eager to find happiness again, Scott makes a plan to win Gaby’s heart during a weekend getaway, but she doesn’t want to be his rebound girl. Will 42 hours be enough to convince Gaby that it's finally their time for love?

My Thoughts:

This is the third book in the series. It features a group life long friends. Each book focuses on one couple and this one is all about Scott. The gang gathers and does an intervention. He is not a druggie or anything so crass! He is engaged to a woman his mother thinks he should marry. He really doesn't love her and it shows. His friends who have been featured in the other books, and I LOVE, called him on the mistake he was making. This is his story and I won't tell you if he goes through with it or not. :P

I will tell you that this book has great characters, a compelling plot, a smooth writing style and a pace that is steady.

I have loved each book. I feel that they can be read out of order but you know how I am, I like things in order, so I suggest that you read them in order.

There is some humor, drama, and plenty of romance. I absolutely love Bethany's characters and I am especially happy that she gives us a taste of what is happening in the previous couples lives.

I recommend this book and the previous books in the series to those of you who like romance and great characters.

I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion. I thought it was great.
