My Thoughts:

It was a no-brainer for me when J.C. asked if I wanted to review the newest addition to her Carus series. I am happy to report that she is still the bomb!

Carpe Demon, is chalk full of surprises, vampires, romance, shifters, demons, secrets, agendas, and lots of action.

We find out a little more about Andy and being a carus but there is still more to unearth. She appears to make a choice between the two Alphas Tristan and Wick. I am thrilled but I ache for the other one as they are both great men. Andy has her reasons though and they really make sense.

I don't want to give anything away and spoil the mystery and adventure for any one who hasn't yet read it.

J.C. does a wonderful job of binding her readers into a deep spell that holds us willingly captive for hours on end.

You'll be addicted to this series if you give it a try! It has wit, a snarky, sassy, strong heroine who has a good head on her shoulders and a strong moral compass, two great love interests, vampires, witches, shifters, demons....... Have I got your attention yet? I strongly recommend all three of these books to those of you who like urban fantasy or paranormal romance.

Oh, I should mention that the romance has been strictly PG so far. No need to shy away from reading it. I like a good deal of steam normally but with these books, the humor, action and suspense take the cake and I don't feel like I am missing a thing.  :D

I received an ecopy from the author in exchange for my honest opinion. It was another stellar addition to a phenomenal series!

Thanks J.C. I can't wait to see what happens next!

    1. Thanks Miki! What's TBd? I'm not familiar with it (I think), but Shift Happens is on sale right now for $0.99 and Beast coast for $2.99. The sale was supposed to end two days ago, but as of this morning, the prices haven't reset yet ;-)

    2. tbd = The Book Depository
i need to read print books for my eyes ( and on a side note the sale was not for international readers either, as sometime i do take ebook just to support author)

    3. Hey Miki. Thanks for the info re: TBD. Not sure why my books aren't on it. I'll ask my publisher. I think the only place my books are available in print is Amazon.com, which does ship internationally (I send out print books as prizes from Amazon.com to international addresses all the time), but I realize that's not ideal for everyone. I wish my publisher had a longer reach :-/

Side note: What websites are you looking at for the sale? All the ones I've checked still have the books discounted, including the international Amazon sites and the few Canadian sites I'm aware of. They're not all priced exactly the same, but the currency equiv to $0.99 USD. Amazon.co.uk has it for £0.99, for example. I'm still learning about all the international sites! I only really know the Canadian (because I'm Canadian) and the American ones. I'm a work in progress!

Thanks again for the info Miki :-)

    4. ^^, amazon did buy Thebookdepository so it's possible the book will be on it soon ( they had book 1 and 2 but for a really short time, i could have won book 2 here but when i checked then the book wasn't available anymore >_<)
Sometimes i do get book from amazon because yes it ship to my country but i need to save enough in gift card to include the shipping fee ( and wait until the amount, shipping fee included is under the tax limit because having to pay 35 dollars of tax in addition isn't appealing at all ( when it's not around 50 like one time)

i've checked teh amazon website BUT i'm not surprised you are seeing the reduced price when i'm not... in fact it show the reduced price as long as i don't log in when i log in i get the real price for my country then it changes ( sometimes it's already changed before logging) for example book one was at 4,35 dollars for me ( so at somecase the ebook is more expensive than the printed format^^;;)

the same can be said for printed book for example if we were looking at the same time for the same book on thebookdepository ( or amazon) we would not see the same price each time you can have a promotion than i don't or the opposite ( usually it's cheaper from the USA or canada than from europe)
so in general rule don't worry too much about international price it's easier is something from europe can tell you what she/he is seeing in case it's different but we do survive ( you can't imagine the "free" book you have than we se at 3, 5 or even 7 dollars instead it can be frustrating if we don't learn to relativise^^ so really no hard feeling at all
we know it's not your fault at all ( or any author's fault)

    5. What?!? I had no idea!!! I'm pissed off on your behalf. That totally sucks. Boo. I'm doubly glad I open my giveaways to international now. Books should not cost that much.
